POSITION SUMMARY 
The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to the CEO by supporting his efforts by coordinating projects across Tapcheck to achieve company goals thereby enabling the CEO to maintain a focus on strategic initiatives and Tapcheck’s public face. The Chief of Staff will also provide the organizational and operational framework for team members to implement and materialize the CEO's vision and achieve milestone goals. The Chief of Staff lives in the present and the future and focuses on complex planning and projects to ensure the successful growth of Tapcheck.  
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
The Chief of Staff’s responsibilities will encompass three primary areas: 

Promote alignment and accountability

  • Accountability champion – create structure that improves communication, visibility, alignment, information flow, and overall rhythm of business 
  • Plan ahead by identifying project obstacles, researching opportunities, and drafting solutions for the CEO 
  • Identify and implement mechanisms for ensuring progress toward goals 
  • Understand how the dots connect, who needs to know what, and the right people are in the right rooms 

Facilitate cross-functional integration

  • Maintain a collaborative and highly cohesive team aligned toward the same goals and strategic agenda 
  • Work closely with the team leaders to promote strong communication and collaboration between principal and team; bring clarity where needed  
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects and activities; keep trains running without Ron as much as possible 

Deliver results on behalf of the CEO

  • Attend key meetings and events with, or on behalf of, the CEO; ensure timely follow-up of all action items  
  • Execute on the CEO’s vision/ideas by translating into actionable steps, gaining buy-in, and project managing to completion 
  • Track performance, research new solutions, and escalate progress or issues, when necessary 
  • Not only strategize, but execute on the strategy created 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10 years of professional experience, success in high-growth environments desired 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with the highest level of leadership and build rapport with internal and external partners 
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Self-starter and quick learner with a strong sense of urgency and ability to see tasks through completion
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating effectively at an executive level 
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing complex cross-functional projects, including developing, coordinating, and communicating project plans and deliverables in an effective manner
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of an individual and act on them without direction 
  • High emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
  • Solid business acumen: you understand key leadership and managerial attributes to lead projects from end-to-end with multiple stakeholders involved 
  • Strong knowledge of operational systems, structures, and ways of working with a collective team and executive office 
  • Data-driven with a bias towards taking action to improve key metrics

SALARY
$200,000 - $225,000
