Chief of Staff

AI overview

You will sit at the center of GTM expansion, pricing decisions, product evolution, and capital strategy, directly influencing how Catena scales and allocates resources.

Chief of Staff

New York Area Preferred | 3–5 Years Experience

We’re building the universal API that lets brokers, TMSs, fintechs, and fleets connect to truck and trailer data through a single integration.

As Chief of Staff at Catena, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and operational rigor. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to translate priorities into action and help scale Catena from early traction into durable infrastructure.

This is not an administrative role.

You will sit inside real decisions — customer conversations, board meetings, pricing debates, fundraising prep, product tradeoffs. You will clarify what matters each quarter, remove bottlenecks, and ensure we execute with focus and velocity.

When initiatives stall, you diagnose why.

When priorities drift, you realign them.

When opportunities emerge, you pressure-test them quickly and turn decisions into action.

Your job is to help the company move faster without breaking alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution
    • Partner directly with the CEO on company-level priorities and quarterly planning
    • Convert high-level strategy into clear execution plans with owners and timelines
    • Drive cross-functional alignment across GTM, Product, and Engineering
    • Ensure key initiatives actually ship, not just get discussed
  • Operational Rigor
    • Build and maintain internal dashboards for revenue, pipeline, product velocity, and cost discipline
    • Identify execution gaps and implement process improvements
    • Support pricing strategy, forecasting, and unit economics modeling
    • Help institutionalize planning and accountability rhythms
  • Capital & Growth Leverage
    • Prepare board materials and investor updates
    • Support fundraising preparation and diligence workflows
    • Assist with enterprise deal coordination and strategic partnerships
    • Evaluate new markets, expansion opportunities, and potential M&A
  • Leadership Multiplier
    • Act as a force multiplier for the CEO
    • Improve internal communication clarity and decision documentation
    • Help shape company narrative and strategic positioning
    • Ensure strategic decisions turn into measurable outcomes

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years experience in consulting, investment banking, high-growth startups, or operational roles
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical ability
  • Structured thinker who can move between strategy and detail
  • Comfortable working with revenue, product, and operational metrics
  • Low ego, high ownership
  • Able to operate independently in ambiguity
  • Based in the New York area and able to work closely with leadership in person

Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, logistics, or infrastructure businesses is a strong plus.

Why is this role unique?

You will see how an infrastructure company is built from the inside.

You will sit at the center of GTM expansion, pricing decisions, product evolution, and capital strategy. Your work will directly influence how Catena scales, how we allocate resources, and how we win.

This is a front-row seat to building connective tissue for a fragmented, multi-billion-dollar industry.

Compensation: Competitive salary + meaningful equity, full benefits, 401k match
