Position: As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Musixmatch, you will partner with our CEO to drive financial strategy, planning, and operational excellence across the organization. You will lead the finance team in delivering accurate reporting, strategic insights, and investor communications while supporting growth initiatives, eventual M&A activities, and the long-term financial positioning of the company. This role offers the opportunity to influence executive decision-making, optimize financial performance, and shape the company’s strategic trajectory in both Italian and global markets. What you will do: Lead comprehensive financial planning & analysis (FP&A), including monthly and quarterly reporting, variance analysis, KPI dashboards, and long-term strategic modeling to support executive decision-making. Establish and oversee robust revenue accounting systems, controls, and processes for complex music industry revenue streams. Maintain investor relationships, prepare board materials, and deliver accurate financial reporting for shareholders. Implement advanced AI-driven financial analytics and automation tools to improve forecasting, cost allocation, and revenue calculations. Apply deep knowledge of Italian business practices, regulations, and market dynamics while integrating international best practices and maintaining global stakeholder relationships. Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring for M&A, partnerships, and strategic investments. Drive preparation and execution of exit strategies alongside CEO and TPG, including company valuation, buyer identification, and transaction structuring. Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team to build capabilities and support organizational growth. Requirements: 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in senior FP&A leadership roles, preferably at a high-growth technology company (€50M+ revenue). Deep expertise in revenue accounting, ideally within the entertainment, media, or music industry. Native or near-native Italian language proficiency and strong understanding of Italian accounting standards and regulations. International business experience and familiarity with global financial practices. Hands-on experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, and technology-driven finance transformations. Previous experience in a Private Equity (PE)-backed company. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or professional certifications (CPA, ACCA) preferred. Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with high growth expectations. Demonstrated experience managing and developing finance teams.
