OUR CLIENT - Paytend Europe, UAB as a cutting-edge fintech company, is committed to providing convenient and efficient financial services to customers worldwide. Leveraging the wide-reaching settlement network in Europe and China, Paytend Europe plans to expand its global payment network and offer its clients a secure and reliable way to manage their money.
Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to ensure that the company's operations comply with domestic and international legal and regulatory requirements, especially those related to the financial services industry. The main goal of this position is to help the company manage its compliance risks and ensure that all business activities conform to applicable regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Policy and Procedure Management:
- Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure they meet all relevant laws, regulations, and internal guidelines.
- Supervise and evaluate the enforcement of company policies to ensure compliance across all business units.
Risk Assessment and Management:
- Regularly conduct compliance risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce the risk of non-compliance.
Training and Awareness:
- Regularly organize compliance training and educational activities to enhance the compliance awareness and capabilities of company employees.
- Update and maintain compliance training materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with the latest regulatory requirements.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor company business activities to ensure they comply with external regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to internal and external regulatory bodies.
Investigation and Handling:
- Manage compliance issues and investigate non-compliance activities.
- Coordinate communication with legal advisors and external regulatory bodies to handle compliance-related inquiries and investigations.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, assess their impact on the company's business, and adjust compliance strategies accordingly.
- Promote a culture of compliance, encouraging participation and continuous improvement in the compliance management system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, law, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in compliance within the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with domestic and international financial regulatory laws, such as AML, KYC, and sanctions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and external agencies.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and making decisions.
