Charter Aircraft Sourcing Associate

AI overview

This role ensures smooth coordination in a high-volume operations environment, supporting brokers with real-time trip management and relationship building with aircraft operators.

Who We Are & What We’re Building

At Goodwin, we build tech for companies that sell private charter flights. In this industry, brokers work directly with travelers to source trips and manage client relationships, while operators own and manage the aircraft and crews that actually fly them.

Behind the scenes, brokers have traditionally juggled nonstop phone calls, email threads, and spreadsheets to match each client request with the right aircraft at the right time. It is fast, detail-heavy work where timing and accuracy matter.

Our platform brings structure and speed to that process. Brokers use Goodwin to send requests, compare options, and manage trips in one place instead of juggling dozens of conversations.

Our technology drives efficiency and our operations team drives follow-through. Together, we help brokers move quickly and confidently when details matter most so they can focus on serving their clients and growing their business.

Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio with distributed talent across the US, Goodwin is on a fast-growth trajectory as we redefine private aviation technology from the ground up.

Why This Role Exists

Our platform brings structure and speed to charter booking, and this industry still depends on real-time coordination and sharp judgment.

Aircraft availability changes. Operators miss automated requests. Urgent trips stack up quickly. When that happens, someone has to pick up the phone, get clear answers, and move the trip forward.

That is where this role comes in.

The Sourcing Associate sits at the center of live trip activity. You ensure requests do not stall. You follow up with operators, gather accurate quotes, clarify details, and keep momentum in the system so brokers can confidently present options to their clients.

As we grow, this role ensures our marketplace stays responsive and reliable. Our technology drives efficiency, and our sourcing team ensures execution. Together, that combination allows brokers to spend more time serving clients and growing their businesses instead of chasing down aircraft availability.

Please note: Because this is a live, high-volume operations environment, the role is based in our Columbus office five days per week and requires availability to work scheduled daytime and evening shifts within our operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll be part of our in-office operations team in Columbus. The environment is fast-moving, collaborative, and built around constant communication. You’ll sit at the center of live trip activity each day. You will:

  • Monitor incoming flight requests in the Goodwin platform and take ownership of closing them quickly
  • Call aircraft operators to confirm availability, gather detailed quotes, and clarify trip requirements
  • Build real relationships with operators so they recognize your name, return your calls, and trust your follow-up
  • Ask thoughtful questions, dig for missing details, and proactively surface information brokers need to win trips
  • Follow up persistently when responses are slow or incomplete
  • Negotiate pricing and terms when appropriate to help brokers close business
  • Prioritize urgent requests with sound judgment in a fast-moving environment
  • Maintain clean, accurate notes so brokers and teammates always know the latest status
  • Collaborate closely with sourcing teammates and guest services on complex or time-sensitive trips
  • Look for patterns and gaps in the workflow and suggest practical improvements

You will spend much of your day on the phone. The people who thrive here enjoy talking to others, thinking on their feet, and turning conversations into progress.

How You’ll Know You’re Succeeding

  • You have developed a working knowledge of the aviation industry. Airport codes, aircraft types, and the phonetic alphabet become second nature in live conversations.
  • You consistently close a minimum of 30 trips a week while maintaining accuracy and clean documentation. Your performance is visible, and you take pride in seeing your numbers move.
  • Operators recognize your name, answer your calls, and treat you as a professional partner. Your relationships help you get faster responses and better outcomes.
  • Brokers trust that when a request hits the system, you will move it forward quickly and thoughtfully without constant oversight.
  • You manage multiple live trips at once and make smart prioritization decisions when urgency shifts.
  • When the room gets busy and the dashboard is lighting up, you bring energy and focus rather than stress. You compete with yourself to improve and help the team win.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a high-energy, customer-facing role such as hospitality, restaurants, retail, or another service environment where you managed multiple demands at once
  • Ability to work in person at our Columbus, Ohio office five days per week. You must live within approximately 40 minutes of the Columbus, OH airport.
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts within our operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., including both daytime and evening shifts.
  • Full confidence spending most of your day on the phone. You do not avoid hard calls, delay outreach, or default to email when a conversation will move things forward faster.
  • A natural comfort talking to people. You ask good questions and build rapport easily. When a new request comes in, your instinct is to lean in, not pull back.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts. You enjoy figuring things out, connecting dots, and working through moving pieces under time pressure.
  • The ability to stay organized and calm while juggling multiple live requests at once
  • Comfort learning new systems quickly and switching between tools throughout the day
  • Interest in learning the aviation industry quickly, including aircraft types, airport codes, and how brokers and operators run their businesses
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
