As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Character Artist to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.
Responsibilities
Create high-quality character models under supervision
Sculpt high-poly character models, retopologize for in-game use, and texture using PBR principles
Integrate characters into the engine and ensure they function as intended
Collaborate with other artists and support the team where needed
Take initiative to continuously improve and expand your technical and artistic skillset
Requirements
Solid understanding of human anatomy and form
Ability to sculpt detailed organic models
Proficient in ZBrush
Basic knowledge of retopology for game-ready assets
Foundational understanding of the texturing process using Substance Painter
Eagerness to learn and apply feedback in a production environment
Nice to have
Experience of working in a AAA or AA Game Development studio, ideally with one (or more) project shipped
Experience with Marvelous Designer
Experience with card-based hair modeling
Basic understanding of shaders and material setup in real-time engines (e.g. Unreal or proprietary engines)
Awareness of rigging and skinning workflows and how they impact topology and deformation
Familiarity with game engines and asset integration pipelines
Knowledge of baking workflows and texture optimization
Interest in character design, costuming, or storytelling through visual design
