Character Animator (Spine), Freelance

TLDR

Create vibrant character animations for games using Spine, collaborating with the Art Lead and preparing assets for integration.

We are looking for an experienced 2D Character Animator to create vibrant and expressive animations for game characters.

Responsibilities

  • Create character animations in Spine (idle, attack, abilities, emotions)
  • Convey personality through movement, posing, and timing
  • Collaborate closely with the project’s Art Lead
  • Prepare assets for integration into the game

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of anatomy, movement, and classical animation principles
  • Solid experience working with Spine
  • Ability to create dynamic, readable, and “alive” character animations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work

Nice to have

  • Experience creating or adjusting VFX / effects
