About the position:

As a Channel Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, you will work with our partner and sales management teams and be the key technical contact throughout the sales lifecycle. As part of this partnership, you will work in a consultative role to assist the successful closing of new deals by providing technical presentations of AvePoint solutions and pre-sales support to our prospective and existing customers and partners. Alongside this role, you will be jointly responsible for providing technical training and pre-sales support to our partners.

This position is for someone who is looking for a role where they can utilize their technical expertise and customer and partner facing skills in the dynamic technology industry. This position offers you the opportunity to succeed as a channel pre-sales professional and work with cutting edge software offerings. We will provide ongoing training and mentoring to support you on your path to success as a Channel Pre-Sales Engineer.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Presenting and demonstrating AvePoint’s product offerings relevant to partner, distribution and their customer objectives remotely and on-site
  • Successfully facilitating Solution Discovery, Solution Overview, and Technical Deep Dive sessions with customers and partners.
  • Supporting AvePoint Partner, Distribution and Marketing teams with their online and in-person events including workshops, customized product trainings, tradeshows, and webinars.
  • Communicating with prospective partners, assisting and guiding their customer through their evaluation and selection process
  • Sharing information with the sales and technical teams about our products and the market
  • Helping the sales and partner team identify and understand customer business objectives and organization to best align AvePoint technology
  • Establishing relationships with key partner business and technical advocates that have the power to drive long-term AvePoint solution adoption within their company
  • Developing partner’s and customer’s buying vision for how AvePoint can help them reduce costs and increase business agility

The ideal candidate has:

  • BA/BS Degree (Computer, Technology and Engineering majors preferred) OR 3+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Confident and enthusiastic presentation skills
  • Quick and self-motivated learner
  • Advanced business and technical communication skills – can lead conversations to align technical value mainly to partner’s and their client’s business needs – must be fluent in German and English 
  • Readiness to think strategically to help close deals using technical knowledge coupled with sales mentality
  • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with partners, customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work individually and within a highly collaborative team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast changing environment
  • Authoritative business analysis capabilities
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills

 

Technical Qualities: 

  • Experience in actual ITPro related topics such as Microsoft 365 delivery concept and SharePoint Online technologies, Microsoft Azure and Entra technologies, configuration and administration especially for Microsoft Entra ID, Workload ID Management, Permission Management

    OR

  • Experience with Google Workspace delivery concepts and Google Workspache’s secure-by-design architecture, configuration and administration along with deeper working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online architecture, Microsoft Azure, Exchange and EntraID technologies

    Additional technical qualities: 

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, and DHCP technologies
  • Working knowledge of Data Backup concepts, migration topics, adoption and governance strategies
  • Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, and configuration, including the differences between SharePoint versions, hybrid architecture and online versions
  • Broader knowledge of server and cloud offerings in the tech industry i.e. Office 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud is strongly preferred.
