Following the closing of a $23M financing round, more than double digit YoY growth, and rapid nationwide expansion, we’re looking for a creative and strategic finance leader who can drive capital allocation decisions, evaluate growth opportunities, and ensure we invest resources where they’ll create the most impact.

As BusRight’s first in-house finance leader, you’ll serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, steering financial strategy, optimizing capital deployment, and fostering investor confidence to support long-term success.
This is a player-coach role that blends strategic, cross-functional leadership with hands-on execution in an early-stage environment. We’re looking for a financial leader with strong judgment across financial planning, SaaS metrics, capital deployment, and who can motivate a team through storytelling. Here are some key priorities that you’ll lead:
Your morning kicks off with a coffee and a 1:1 with the CEO, walking through updated runway projections after finalizing sales territory and growth plans for the coming year. Next up, you’re huddling with the VP of Engineering to dig into planned vs. actual spend and brainstorm how hiring priorities can best match our budget and growth goals.
By the afternoon, you’re buttoning up month-end numbers in QuickBooks and catching up with department heads to make sure plans, like growing our Customer Success team, stay aligned with our financial targets and long-term vision.
In the afternoon, you’re refreshing the real-time KPI dashboard, sitting in on a product strategy session to weigh in on quote-to-cash timelines, and sketching out early slides for the next board meeting. You might wrap up the day by modeling capital allocation tradeoffs, how might investments in a new product line impact runway and growth projections next year?
