We are hiring a Certified Prosthetic Orthotist (CPO) to join a patient-focused clinical team in Columbia, South Carolina. This full-time role is designed for a licensed prosthetist/orthotist who is committed to helping patients regain mobility, independence, and quality of life through advanced device fitting and rehabilitation support.

The CPO will evaluate patients, create customized prosthetic and orthotic solutions, and perform precise device fitting and modification services in Columbia, South Carolina. Working closely with physicians, therapists, and clinical professionals, this position supports evidence-based treatment planning and compassionate patient care. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented clinicians with strong technical and interpersonal skills who thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized prosthetic and orthotic treatment strategies in Columbia, South Carolina.
  • Design, fabricate, fit, and refine custom devices to improve comfort, movement, and functional performance.
  • Work alongside physicians, rehabilitation therapists, and clinical teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
  • Provide clear education to patients and caregivers regarding device use, maintenance, and safety practices.
  • Track patient outcomes and adjust prosthetic or orthotic interventions as recovery and functional needs evolve.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment documentation, and progress notes.
  • Deliver compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered service throughout every clinical interaction.

Requirements

  • Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist in South Carolina or eligible for state licensure.
  • ABC or BOC certification in prosthetics and orthotics.
  • Prior clinical experience in prosthetic and orthotic patient care preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to evaluate biomechanical needs and implement appropriate device solutions.
