Job Description: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and support under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). Your primary focus will be on assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under the direction of healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to lift and move patients and perform physical tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients, including moving them to and from beds, chairs, and other locations.
- Provide support with feeding and ensure proper nutrition for patients.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff.
- Maintain patient hygiene and comfort, including changing linens and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with medical procedures and documentation as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment that respects patients' dignity and privacy.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
