We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who can perform clinical and administrative duties ensuring support for our clients through all aspects of care. This role is designed to provide 50% clinical support and 50% administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient care and clinic operations.


The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with EHR systems, understand operational flow, and have the ability to balance patient-facing tasks with administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. 


How You Qualify:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college education in the healthcare field preferred.
  • Must meet the requirements as defined in WAC 246-827-0200.
  • Active licensure as a certified Medical Assistant Certified through the Washington State Department of Health or the ability to obtain licensure upon the date of hire; if license is pending, may hire with no more than 90 days’ grace period.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Epic experience a plus.
  • Experience performing front desk tasks such as scheduling, patient registration, and handling payments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask effectively.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and PHI regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.


Core Responsibilities Include:

Clinical Duties (50%)

  • Take and record vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.).
  • Room patients for office visits and prepare exam rooms.
  • Utilize EHR platform to prepare patient charts for visits and assist providers with tasks.
  • Assist providers with telehealth connectivity and technology setup.
  • Manage prescription requests, authorizations, and chart preparation.
  • Perform prior authorization activities.
  • Accurately document patient data in electronic health records.

Front Desk & Administrative Duties (50%)

  • Greet patients and provide a welcoming first impression of the clinic.
  • Answer phones, assist patients, and manage work queues.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage daily schedules to meet fill-rate goals.
  • Register patients in the EHR and check patients out after appointments.
  • Collect co-payments and maintain a cash drawer.
  • Scan, index, and manage incoming mail and documentation.
  • Coordinate referrals for behavioral health services, ensuring consent forms and treatment information are captured.
  • Monitor emergency notifications and direct them to appropriate staff.
