This role provides hands-on exposure to strategic planning, organizational transformation, and tech scouting. The intern will contribute to key projects, helping translate global strategy into tangible local actions. The position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with senior executives and gain insight into how Mercedes-Benz drives strategy across its North American R&D footprint. Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the Chief of Staff and CEO Office team in strategic analysis, business planning, and cross-functional project execution.
  • Conduct research and develop presentations on market trends, emerging technologies, and innovation ecosystems relevant to MBRDNA’s strategy.
  • Drive operational clarity and make the CEO Office’s work more transparent.
  • Assist in the rollout of data collection, KPI tracking, and process visualization.
  • Contribute to the preparation of executive materials for internal and HQ leadership meetings.
  • Support ongoing tech scouting activities.
  • Participate in the organization and facilitation of CEO Office workshops, town halls, and culture-building sessions.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Technology Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in consulting, strategy, or innovation management (automotive or technology sectors preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong academic standing and proven analytical ability.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate clearly to executive audiences.
  • Passion for mobility innovation, emerging technologies, and organizational excellence.
  • Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • We welcome candidates with multilingual skills.
  • English is essential for this role; German is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data visualization tools a plus.
  • Background or coursework in technology management, operations, or data analytics.
  • Experience working with international and cross-functional teams.
  • Previous exposure to R&D or innovation ecosystems.

    Additional Information:
    The current hourly rate for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future: $23 (Undergraduate Students)/$26 (Graduate Students)
