Job Description

The Centralized Services Administrator plays a pivotal role in the MSP, ensuring seamless operation, monitoring, and optimization of client IT environments. This position manages centralized tools and platforms (RMM, patch management, backup, security), delivers technical support, and drives proactive solutions for clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain centralized MSP tools (RMM, PSA, backup, antivirus, patch management). 
  • Monitor client systems for alerts, performance issues, and security threats; respond promptly to incidents and service requests. 
  • Perform routine maintenance (software updates, patch deployment, system health checks). 
  • Develop and manage automation scripts and policies to improve efficiency. 
  • Serve as an escalation point for CS technicians. 
  • Collaborate with Service Desk and Field Engineers on escalated issues. 
  • Document processes, procedures, and configurations per company standards. 
  • Generate regular reports on system health, patch compliance, backup status, and KPIs.
  • Participate in onboarding of new clients and deployment/configuration of centralized tools. 
  • Assist with onboarding of internal users (tool/platform access). 
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to centralized services processes and toolsets. 

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 2+ years’ experience in an MSP or IT services environment, preferably in a centralized or NOC role. 
  • Proficiency with RMM, PSA, and backup platforms (e.g., ConnectWise, Kaseya, Datto). 
  • Strong understanding of Windows/macOS, networking fundamentals, and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure). 
  • Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with backup/disaster recovery, patch management, and endpoint security. 
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team. 
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL) are desirable.  

Working Conditions

  • Full-time remote position; may require occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance, incident response or on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

  • A home office set up that meets the following:
    • Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following:
      • Windows 11 with an Intel i5 or i7 (8th generation or newer), or
      • AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 (2000 series or newer), or
      • macOS 12 or newer.
    • Internet: Stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and upload speeds.
    • Audio Equipment: A quality headset with a noise-cancellation feature for meetings.
    • Mobile Device: A smartphone capable of installing the Microsoft Authenticator app.
    • Webcam: An HD webcam for video calls.
    • 2nd Monitor 
    • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) if using a desktop (Not needed if using a laptop)
  • A very strong cultural fit the ITS way (Our core values will be discussed during the interview) 
  • Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written 
  • Able to work full time 40 hrs. a week:  8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Monday to Friday)
  • Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments. 
  • Preferably, at least two of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, 3cx Basic Certified Engineer.
  • Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants).

Compensation

Pay rate starts at $8.54/hr and may vary by experience and location.
