We currently have a Cell Site Technician role open in our Central region. This role will be 100% remote with overnight travel to customer sites in the regional area of Kentucy, Ohio, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. 

Periodic travel may be required outside of the geographic region. A company car is provided for customer-site travel.

The preferred location for this role is Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania or West Virginia. 

 

Responsibilities

On-time completion and quality of the installation project

Support job package administration including weekly tool inventory, write and submit the MOP, JIM preparation and submittal, create timesheet for self and crew, safety adherence, and house cleaning 

Responsible for inventory and staging of equipment and materials, weekly status report to supervisor, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings

Add or remove all wiring and connections on non-working DC power equipment and assisting Level IV Technician on working equipment 

Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage)

Add or remove telecom batteries

Add or remove common systems equipment hardware

Follow all EHS guidelines 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three years of experience in power equipment installation
  • Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable, construction of cable racking, bay mounting
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
  • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold
