Chicken Catcher Role Responsibilities:
- Catch assigned number of birds efficiently
- Master proper bird placement techniques into cages
- Ensure adherence to animal welfare guidelines
- Accurately count and record birds loaded into cages
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES
• Acquire and put on all required PPE (Safety glasses, safety vest, gloves (optional), arm sleeves (optional)).
• Perform routine stretches before starting daily duties.
• Walk the house (bed the birds)
• Wait for cage to be set on blocks
• Open cage door
• Catch correct amount of birds
• Load birds in cage one hand at a time.
• Repeat process until cage is full.
• After proper amount of birds placed in cage, shut the cage door
