Department Description

Palmetto Capital is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy and HVAC industries. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, energy storage systems, and home efficiency through advanced heating and cooling technologies. We empower solar and HVAC sales professionals and installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management system, and milestone quality control system. This position will be based in the Philippines.

Summary of Role 

The Cash Application Analyst ensures the integrity and accuracy of customer payment processing across multiple systems and funding channels. You’ll be responsible for applying payments, reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and partnering cross-functionally to keep our financial operations running smoothly. This role sits at the intersection of detail and impact — helping us maintain strong financial controls while supporting our larger mission to scale clean energy access.

Strategic & Tactical

  • Apply and reconcile payments. Ensure customer payments are accurately applied to customer accounts (ACH, wire, lockbox, credit card, check) and ensure they are properly applied across funds and systems.
  • Prepare and manage transfers. Prepare weekly wire transfers across bank accounts to ensure proper fund alignment and correct any misapplied or misplaced payments.
  • Manage exceptions. Research unapplied cash or discrepancies; collaborate with Billing & Collections, our subservicer, and Accounting to resolve issues promptly.
  • Review cash collections vs. forecasts. Compare cash collected to cash expected using forecasts and billing system reports, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Open and manage bank accounts with sub-servicer. Coordinate the setup and management of new bank accounts through our subservicer to support cash flow and fund allocation needs.
  • Ensure data integrity. Maintain accurate transaction records and reconciliations.
  • Strengthen controls. Support internal control processes, fund assignment reviews, and audit documentation to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Drive process improvement. Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, automation, and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or related finance operations.
  • Experience with Netsuite and payment platforms preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Looker or other reporting tools a plus.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of construction or solar industry preferred
