About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Camunda Architect to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of Camunda-based workflow orchestration solutions that streamline and automate critical business processes.

You will play a key role in defining system architecture, ensuring scalability and performance, and providing technical leadership to a team of developers. This position requires a hands-on expert with deep knowledge of BPMN, DMN, microservices architecture, and system integrations, along with a passion for mentoring and guiding teams.

Key Responsibilities


  • Architect and implement Camunda-based workflow orchestration platforms handling high-volume process instances.
  • Design and develop microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot and event-driven frameworks such as Kafka.
  • Create and manage BPMN and DMN models for business processes including loan approvals, claims processing, and customer onboarding.
  • Integrate Camunda with external APIs, legacy platforms, and cloud-native services via REST and messaging systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor developers on Camunda best practices, performance tuning, and process versioning.
  • Implement monitoring and analytics using Camunda Optimize to track SLAs and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for workflows and integrations.
  • Ensure platform scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team.
  • Stay current with emerging Camunda features and workflow automation trends.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve workflow, integration, and performance issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on workflow automation.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Camunda BPMN engine (modeling, deployment, monitoring).
  • Strong expertise in BPMN and DMN standards.
  • Proven experience designing microservices architectures and building RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot or .NET/C#.
  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
