SAIT Summer Camps (SSC) is hiring one Supply and Inventory Management camp administrator for the 2026 summer camp season. The candidates will have experience and/or knowledge in the area of child and youth education. The candidates will have experience supervising peers in a workplace setting. These individuals should also have strong verbal and written communication skills evidenced by their customer service experience, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, which will be utilized frequently in this program. For Supply and Inventory Management camp administrator, the candidate is expected to have experience in managing a wide variety of supplies and inventory preferably in a camp setting. The candidate will have experience in purchasing, tracking, and distribution of supplies and inventory in a fast-paced environment.
This fast-paced, deadline-driven position requires an exceptional attitude, organizational skills, time management capabilities, and communication skills. This leadership position is essential to ensuring the camp experience runs smoothly and is enjoyable for campers, camp leaders, parents, and staff.
Note: Early morning, evening and weekend work will be required seasonally. Your availability will be required for the entire duration of the summer camps period (June through August inclusive).

How you'll contribute
Teamwork and Leadership:
Model best practices of teaching with leaders
Consistently enforce SAIT Summer Camps policies and procedures with children, youth, staff, families, and the public Promote positive and respectful team atmosphere and work to create a cohesive staff unit
Manage stress effectively, being a source of stability to camp leaders
Experience supervising and training peers/adults
Excellent classroom and people management skills with both campers and adults
Ability to give and receive direction
Creating rapport with all staff to maintain a trusting and cohesive work environment
Willing to serve as the first point of contact for camp leaders and families
Provide support and offer mentorship for leaders and volunteers
Educate and train camp leaders on lesson planning, camp management, and conflict resolution
Develop trust and respect with administration and staff to create a positive camp atmosphere
Discreet and tactful with sensitive information
High degree of professionalism
Able to work well in a team and independently
Communications and Reporting:
Communicate with parents/guardians about their child’s experience at camp and address concerns as required
Train staff in best practices of inclusion and follow inclusion processes
Discuss camper accommodations and strategies with parents/guardians
Answer phone, email, and in-person inquiries and communicate with campers, parents/guardians, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
Organize records and input sensitive data according to SAIT policies
Edit, organize, and distribute camp information to staff, parents, and campers on a regular basis
Assist with various office and administration tasks
Supervising Children/Youth:
Provide support for campers in one-on-one, and both small and large group settings
Mediate conflict with integrity and consistency
Substitute as needed for ill/absent camp leaders
Help provide a safe, healthy environment for campers to thrive
Demonstrated experience working with children who have varying needs
Emergency Response:
React and adapt quickly to emergency situations involving youth
Display a strong ability to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively
What you bring
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid Standard First Aid/CPR – C
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Current driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred)
Minimum 3 years working in a summer camp setting with progressively more leadership responsibilities
Diploma or degree related to education, child studies, recreation preferred but not required
Punctual and able to adapt to a changing schedule is a must
Basic skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook). Intermediate Excel skills preferred
Ability to multi-task and prioritize supply allocation and timelines
Experience managing inventory and working within provided budgets is required
Willingness to learn internal registration system (Camp Brain)
Ability to work evenings or weekends when necessary to meet the needs of programs and the larger Youth Initiatives team.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. (transport signs, event materials and supplies) and to push a cart weighing approximately 40 lbs.
Throughout the duration of summer camps and summer camp preparation (May through August) this role will require working on-campus Monday through Friday inclusive
