Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and configure camera systems using off-the-shelf, and custom components
  • Operate a custom calibration machine
  • Use Linux for basic system configuration and testing
  • Maintain documentation, logs, and weekly status reports using Microsoft Office
  • Take ownership of product quality and ensure assemblies meet specifications
  • Coordinate shipments and manage shipping schedules
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels; flag low stock proactively
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve assembly-related issues
  • Identify and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and quality in the build process

Requirements:

  • Proven mechanical assembly experience, preferably with cameras or precision hardware
  • Working knowledge of Linux is helpful
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality results
  • Experience coordinating shipments and managing stock levels
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with custom calibration or testing equipment
  • Previous contractor or independent technician experience
  • Comfort with continuous improvement and process optimization practices

Estimated Hours: 20 - 40 hours/week
Rate: $24CAD/hour
