Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: The client is an education recruitment company focused on making the hiring process easier and more effective for schools across Australia. They connect motivated educators with roles in schools across the country, keeping things personal and relationship-driven instead of transactional. Their approach blends thoughtful matching with ongoing support, so both schools and candidates feel confident throughout the process.

Role Overview: We are looking for a Call Scheduler / Lead Qualifier who will be the first point of contact for all new candidate enquiries coming into the client’s system. The key purpose of the role is to maximise first contact rates and improve conversion from enquiry to booked consultation, allowing consultants to focus their time on high-value candidate conversations rather than chasing unresponsive leads.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • First point of contact for all new candidate enquiries coming into the system
  • Promptly contacting 150-350 candidates, coding them correctly in the system, and booking them into calls with Candidate Consultants
  • Work through existing lead lists and reconnecting with candidates who have previously applied but haven’t yet progressed

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service handling phone support
  • Experience in a role that is 90% call-focused with excess of receiving or answering 100 calls a day. 
  • Experience speaking with and managing customers where English is the first language, ideally for a company based in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, or the US
  • Strong and clear verbal English communications is a must
  • Experience working through existing lead lists and re-engaging candidates who’ve previously applied but haven’t moved forward yet
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong adaptability in using various tools and software

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
