Ensure profitability governance and financial reconciliation accuracy within Banking Operations for all payment modes while aligning with board-level expectations.
Role Summary
The Chartered Accountant (CA) will serve as the financial control authority within Banking
Operations, ensuring profitability governance, acquiring bank commercial validation,
pricing compliance, financial reconciliation accuracy, and prevention of revenue leakage
across all payment modes (Cards, Netbanking, UPI, Wallets, EMI). The role requires
strategic financial oversight aligned with board-level expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Merchant Profitability Governance: Weekly contribution margin analysis for enterprise
and top 100 merchants. No onboarding without profitability validation.
• Bank Commercial Validation & Market Practice Review (MPR): Weekly pricing
validation across Cards, Netbanking, UPI, Wallets. Escalate deviations within 24 hours.
• Revenue Leakage Prevention: Validate buy rate vs sell rate alignment and ensure
correction of commercial mismatches.
• Financial Reconciliation Oversight: Supervise MDR reconciliation, settlement matching,
chargeback accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Onboarding Financial Risk Control: Approve high-value merchant onboarding only after
break-even and risk assessment validation.
• Success Rate Revenue Impact Analysis: Analyze routing performance impact on revenue
and margin realization.
• Regulatory & Audit Readiness: Maintain financial documentation and audit trails
aligned with RBI and internal audit standards.
KPIs & Performance Metrics
• 100% profitability validation prior to onboarding.
• Zero revenue leakage due to pricing or reconciliation errors.
• Weekly profitability and MPR report submission to Management.
• Escalation of negative GP cases within 2–3 business days.
• 100% bank invoice validation within agreed TAT.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)
• 3–8 years of experience in Fintech / Payment Gateway / Acquiring / Banking
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, reconciliation, and margin analysis
• Advanced Excel and MIS reporting capability
