Duties & Role:

  • Supporting Database Migrations from On-Prem to Cloud Environments
  • Maintaining Advanced DB Architectures on High Availability and Disaster Recovery Database Environments
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft reporting technologies (PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS), Grafana reporting and Automation technologies (Ansible) and sound experience on at least two;
  • Develops and configures tools to enable automation of database administration tasks.
  • Develops dynamic reports for database management systems, including issues and considerations;
  • Designs standard reports and automation policies to regulate database management system activities;
  • Having basic knowledge for other database technologies like Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Keeping up to date Software Lifecycle (roadmap) management of database products ;
  • Performs routine installation, re-configuration, backups of database and related products on on-premises and cloud environments.

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • Proficient in cloud database solutions such as Azure SQL Database and automation, ensuring efficient and scalable deployments.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft reporting technologies (PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS), Grafana reporting and Automation technologies (Ansible) and sound experience on at least two;
  • Expertise in database administration, cloud database management and on-prem, and security best practices.
  • Adapt at database migrations from on-prem to cloud,
  • Have an experience for backup and recovery strategies, automation with PowerShell, and CI/CD integration, contributing to robust and secure database infrastructures.
  • Extensive experience of Microsoft SQL Server on ON-Prem and Cloud Environments
  • A good understanding of more advanced architectures on High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, like server clustering and virtual infrastructures;
