Your mission: 

As the Buying Group Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Reliable Controls Buying Group program, ensuring that our authorized dealer network experiences seamless and efficient services. You will also lead the Customer Care team, fostering an environment that encourages consistent and exceptional service and support. Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, you’ll partner with them to develop and implement strategic initiatives that expand and strengthen our partner network and enhance the quality of support we provide. 



This is a hybrid position based in Victoria, BC; candidates must be located near Victoria to support occasional onsite meetings and collaboration.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Manage and grow relationships with buying group partners to drive performance and long-term value  
  • Lead quarterly business reviews to identify opportunities for growth, alignment, and improved collaboration  
  • Oversee buying group pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure accuracy and consistency  
  • Resolve complex operational issues related to pricing, supply, tariffs, and order fulfillment  
  • Work closely with the VP of Supply Chain to develop and execute strategic initiatives that expand and strengthen the partner network 
  • Lead the Customer Care team by establishing clear KPIs, workflows, and accountability structures  
  • Coach and support team members to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused experience  
  • Ensure clear, proactive communication with dealers on pricing, availability, and lead times  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to support initiatives  

  

This role might be right for you if you have: 

  • 5-8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or vendor/partner management  
  • Strong experience managing supplier relationships, contracts, and commercial agreements  
  • Proven ability to lead a customer-facing or operations team  
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities  
  • Experience working with ERP or order management systems  
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams  
  • A high level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism  

 

You’ll be successful in this position if you: 

  • Have experience in building automation or a related technical industry  
  • Enjoy building relationships and working closely with external partners  
  • Have experience improving processes or scaling operational programs 
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus and commitment to delivering a high-quality experience  
  • Effectively lead, coach, and develop team members to drive accountability and results

The full compensation band for this role is $106,000.00 - $151,000.00 CAD annually. Please note that the hiring range for this position is $113,000.00 – $124,000.00 CAD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
