Negotiates and contracts the purchase of raw materials and/or other unprocessed goods, machinery, equipment, tools, parts, other supplies, and services necessary for the operation of the Organization.

A.      Executes the Action Messages (Releasing Purchasing Orders, Expediting, Pushing or Canceling) Suggested by the MRP II System

C.      Reviews requisitions, as well as bids, interviewing vendors to obtain information concerning products and services, prices, guarantees and delivery dates.

D.     Selects purchase items through several evaluation methods (Best Bid), formulating detailed RFP’s (Request for Proposals), requesting samples for testing, random sampling incoming materials, Vendor Rating Programs, Vendor Certification, etc.

E.      Keeps records pertaining to items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance and inventory levels.

F.      Maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the Purchasing Function.

G.     Negotiating: Negotiating with suppliers on price and quality

H.     Communicating: Communicating with suppliers, other buyers, and team members to discuss product details and negotiate prices.

I.        Planning: Planning purchases and ensuring products are in stock.

J.       Analyzing: Analyzing data to make informed decisions about what to buy

K.      Managing: Processing purchase orders, tracking orders, creating, and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance, and liaising with inventory teams and management

L.       Making decisions: Making informed and timely decisions about purchasing based on inventory needs and industry forecasts. 

 

Requirements

·         Professional Degree in related area.

·         2 to 3 Years in the Purchasing Area and/or Materials Planning.  

·         English level:  Advanced (Reading and Writing that allow fluid presentations and/or Participation in Negotiation

Processes).

·         Microsoft office (Excel advance).

·         Negotiation skills, communication, analytical ability.

·         Computer skills advance, (Use of Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Etc.) or application programs

 

Preferred Knowledge & Training:

 

·         Certificate in purchasing management is desirable.

·         This position requires good Communication and Negotiation Skills.
