We are seeking a Buyer – Men’s Soft Goods who brings strong merchandising fundamentals, curiosity about the customer, and a desire to continuously improve how buying work gets done. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in the craft of buying and open to learning new tools and approaches—including emerging technologies—when they add value to the work.
This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team. This position will report into the DMM – Men’s and Accessories.

Assortment Building
Build and manage a compelling men’s soft goods assortment aligned to brand strategy, customer needs, and market trends
Use historical performance, market insights, and customer data to inform buy decisions and forecasts
Vendor Relationships & Negotiations
Negotiate cost, margin, dating, exclusives, and support with a long-term, relationship-driven mindset
Evaluate vendor performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Purchase Order & Workflow Management
Create and manage purchase orders, size and color breakouts, and delivery timelines
Partner cross-functionally to improve processes, accuracy, and speed as the business scales
Promotions & Merchandising
Collaborate with Marketing and Planning to align promotions with inventory availability and seasonal strategy
Support pricing, markdowns, and promotional planning based on sell-through and inventory health
Inventory Management
Monitor inventory performance and lifecycle from initial buy through exit
Manage replenishment, markdowns, and end-of-life strategies to drive healthy turns and margin
Team Collaboration & Growth
Partner closely with Associate and Assistant Buyers, Planning, Marketing, and Operations
Contribute ideas for improving tools, workflows, and ways of working—whether through process improvements, better reporting, or new technology over time
What You Bring to the Role:
3–5 years of buying experience; e-commerce and/or outdoor industry preferred.
A forward-thinking mindset with experience using or willingness to adopt AI platforms and tools to optimize work.
Proactive and decisive; thrives in a fast-paced, tech-savvy environment.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable buying decisions.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills; comfortable working across automated systems and multi-channel inputs.
Collaborative and detail-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Deep understanding of retail math, assortment planning, and merchandising fundamentals.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); bonus if familiar with AI-enhanced reporting tools.
Willingness to travel to trade shows, vendor meetings, and field visits as needed..
