Own and manage the end-to-end procurement process using Microsoft Dynamics NAV to ensure efficient supply chain operations and excellent supplier performance.
The Role: The Global Buyer will own the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from our international suppliers to our warehouse. This role demands a proactive, data-driven professional who excels in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and a proven track record in managing global suppliers and complex logistics are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Execution & System Management
Own the end-to-end procurement process in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, from PO generation and management to tracking and reporting.
Execute monthly PO releases accurately and timely, based on demand forecasts, inventory targets, and new product launch calendars.
Maintain the integrity of all item, vendor, and cost data within the NAV system.
Leverage NAV to analyze procurement data, creating comprehensive monthly reports that provide actionable insights for management.
Supplier & Production Management (From Order to Delivery)
Manage and monitor production schedules across multiple international suppliers, targeting an On-Time Delivery (OTD) rate of 98% or higher.
Proactively communicate with suppliers to track orders, identify potential delays, and implement effective corrective actions.
Establish and enforce key performance metrics (KPIs) for suppliers, focusing on delivery performance, quality, and cost.
Drive cost-saving initiatives by optimizing supplier performance, thereby reducing expediting fees and minimizing supply chain disruptions.
Support the sourcing and qualification of new suppliers as needed.
Logistics & Delivery Excellence:Coordinate all inbound logistics with internal teams. Proactively manage urgent shipments, clarify cost responsibilities, and lead cross-functional efforts to escalate ship modes (e.g., from sea to air) when necessary to meet critical deadlines, while actively working to reduce overall air freight costs.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support:
Partner with Product Development, Project Management, and Planning teams from the early stages to ensure procurement alignment with new product timelines.
Manage POs for all new product components, ensuring alignment with launch schedules.
Attention to the setup of all new SKUs in Microsoft NAV, ensuring data accuracy for seamless order placement.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in the procurement and logistics cycle.
Help mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within a global sourcing environment.
Non-negotiable Proficiency: Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (or Business Central) is essential.
Proven ability to manage production schedules and supplier relationships with a focus on achieving >98% OTD.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
Fluency in English is required, as it is the primary working language for internal and external communications.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in consumer goods, electronics, or retail industries.
Experience supporting a high-velocity New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
