Job Summary:

As a Buyer Expeditor, you will be responsible for confirming purchase order acknowledgements, identifying order errors, expediting purchase orders correspondence in support of MAAC and other designated programs. 

Key Deliverables and Responsibility:

    • Submit electronic purchase orders to suppliers and customers within established timeframes.
    • Expedite purchase orders with vendors meeting established timeframes.
    • Communicate timely notification of date changes or delays to both agency and customers.
    • Resolve purchase order discrepancies with vendors and agency.
    • Record all supplier purchase order acknowledgements and conduct follow-up on all orders that have not been acknowledged.
    • Assist the Buyer Analysts with set-up of new suppliers including vendor registration.
    • Locate and compile documents as requested for audits reporting missing items to the Buyer responsible.
    • Manage discrepancy reports for the department.

Requirements

    • High school Diploma or GED
    • 1 year of working in an administrative environment with expediting and procurement experience.  May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience. 
    • Applicants are required to hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card holders).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to engage in and exchange communication with others in all situations.
    • Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple projects at once, adhering to deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail is needed.  Ability to review multiple orders and identify inconsistencies or incorrect data.  
    • PC proficiency in Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay Range: $36,000.00 - 41,500.00
