Business Technical Analyst

We are looking for a Business Technical Analyst to join the HR Solutions team and implement and manage our Solix Common Data Platform (CDP). CDP will serve as the central repository to house data archived through our Global People, Global Finance, and Global Indirect Procurement Modernization programs. Global users will access CDP to view and report on this data, enabling them to deliver their business services. This analyst will collaborate with our business teams, the application vendor, and our technical team to develop and implement effective business solutions.  The candidate will have strong communication skills and work in an agile environment to implement, enhance, and run CDP.

As a Business Technical Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making by analyzing and interpreting complex datasets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth.  This role will deliver executive-level communication and analysis on an as-needed basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and document data and analytics requirements.
• Translating business requirements into technical specifications for technical teams.
• Conducting data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business value.
• Working closely with the technical team to ensure the availability, accuracy, and quality of data.
• Participating in data modeling and design discussions to support the development of data solutions.
• Author and create design artifacts such as: Functional design specifications, source to data mapping, and process and data flow diagrams
• Developing and maintaining data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for business users.
• Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate data and analytics solutions against business requirements.
• Actively facilitate and drive requirements gathering discovery workshops
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the key business processes and systems and identify integration, alignment, and improvement opportunities
• Providing support and training to business users on data tools, reports, and analytics platforms.
• Collaborating with IT teams to ensure the proper implementation and integration of data solutions.
• Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in data and analytics to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ability and flexibility to coordinate and work with teams distributed across time zones, as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, strategy, data analytics, or related fields.
• Technical/functional expertise in one or several of the following areas: technology consulting, project management or coordination, agile methodology, and/or product-centric operating model.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and peers without direct authority.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple Global stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data querying and analysis of large datasets using SQL.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and relational database management systems.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and data management principles.
• Managed application implementation and operation budgets.
