Business Risk Officer - 6 months

In this position, you will join the Business Risk Management Department and will work closely with the Sales and Compliance departments. You will play a key role within our first line of defense, notably by managing the AML/CTF, reputational, sanctions, tax compliance and cross-border risks.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess account opening requests (mainly operational companies, FIs and portfolio. managers) with a focus on AML/CTF, reputational, sanctions and cross-border risks.
• Analysis of tax compliance aspects (FATCA, CRS, QI).
• Handling of periodic reviews, in particular for FIs and portfolio managers.
• Transaction monitoring for a limited number of FIs.
• Support and advise provided to the Sales Department.
• Participation in meetings with prospects or clients when required by the circumstances.

• Knowledge/interest for all applicable Swiss laws (e.g. AMLA), ordinances (e.g. AMLO-FINMA) and other relevant texts/circulars/guidances (e.g. CDB 20).
• Perfect command of English and French, any other language (ideally German) is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and methodological approach.
• High degree of integrity, professional discretion, and sound judgement.
• Law or Economics Degree or similar background is an asset.
• Experience as a Business Risk Officer or in a Compliance Department within the financial industry is an asset.
