Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) – Procurement Consultant to support an ECC to S/4HANA transformation program. The consultant will play a key role in the design, configuration, validation, and deployment of S/4HANA Procurement solutions aligned with SAP Best Practices and the project’s Global Template approach. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in full-cycle S/4HANA implementations, deep knowledge of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, and prior exposure to transformation projects using SAP Activate and implementation accelerators. Experience in cement, building materials, manufacturing, or heavy industries is highly desirable. The resource will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and system integrators to ensure successful migration, adoption, and stabilization of S/4HANA MM Procurement.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

The SAP MM Procurement Consultant will be responsible for: Leading and facilitating Fit-to-Standard workshops for Procure-to-Pay processes. Supporting the design and validation of the S/4HANA Global Template for Procurement. Mapping business requirements from ECC to S/4HANA MM. Configuring SAP S/4HANA MM according to project standards and best practices, including: Purchasing document types Pricing procedures and conditions Release strategies Logistics Invoice Verification Goods movement processes Identifying and documenting gaps, RICEFW requirements, and process changes. Collaborating with technical teams on: Interfaces (e.g., Ariba, suppliers, logistics systems) Enhancements Conversions Reports Forms (POs, goods receipts, etc.) Supporting data migration activities, including: Vendor master mapping and validation Open purchase orders and contracts migration Pricing condition records validation Preparing and executing test scenarios: Unit Testing (UT) Integration Testing (IT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Providing training support and knowledge transfer to business users. Supporting cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities. Working closely with project managers, other functional consultants (FI, SD, EWM, PP, etc.), and system integrators to ensure timely delivery. Ensuring alignment with SAP Activate methodology and project governance.

 

Essential Skills

The consultant should have:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in SAP MM (Procurement).
  • At least 4 full-cycle SAP S4 implementations,
  • Proven experience using SAP Activate methodology, including: Fit-to-Standard workshops Best Practices and Starter Systems Configuration and testing using accelerators Strong expertise in core SAP MM Procurement processes and functionalities, including: Purchase Requisitions (PR) Purchase Orders (PO) Contracts and Scheduling Agreements Source-to-Contract (if in scope) Goods Receipt (GR) and Goods Issue (GI) Invoice Verification (MM-IV) Pricing and Conditions in Procurement Release Strategies and Approval Workflows Vendor Master Data Management (integration with MDG preferred)
  • Experience with: Data migration from ECC to S/4HANA (vendors, open POs, contracts, etc.)
  • Fiori apps for Procurement Integration with other SAP modules, especially: FI (MM-IV to Accounting, GR/IR clearing) SD (Intercompany, STO where applicable) PP/PM (MRO procurement if relevant) EWM/LE (goods movement integration) 
  • Prior experience in industries similar to cement, construction materials, manufacturing, or industrial sector is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in global or regional rollout programs is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
Additional Comments
This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a solid understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes. The consultant should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and geographically distributed environment. Prior exposure to large-scale transformation programs and global templates is highly valued. Availability for occasional travel may be required depending on project needs. The consultant should demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, and results-driven mindset.
