AI overview

Lead and execute company-wide performance rituals to enhance decision-making and accountability while partnering with senior leaders to drive continuous improvement across the organization.

At Liberis, our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by removing finance as a friction to growth, delivering contextual, embedded financial solutions to support merchants at every stage of their business lifecycle.

The team

The Business Performance & Operations team sits at the heart of how Liberis delivers results. We define what performance means, turn it into a repeatable machine through clear goals and rituals, and raise the performance bar across the company from individual contributors to the Executive Team.

This is a rare opportunity to have company-wide impact: shaping how we plan, make decisions, measure success, and build a high-performance culture as we scale. We work closely with the CEO and leadership team to make performance visible, actionable, and continuously improving - ensuring priorities translate into outcomes and standards keep rising.

The role

As Business Performance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and operating Liberis’ performance engine. You will co-create and lead the execution of company-wide performance rituals from planning and goal setting through to reviews, communications, and outcomes ensuring performance is visible, decisions are high quality, and action follows insight.

You will use performance data and insight to surface what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change driving actions that raise standards at an individual, team, and company level. This will include partnering with, influencing, and at times challenging senior leaders to ensure accountability and follow-through.

As a member of the CEO Office, you will also support delivery of the CEO’s top priorities, particularly those related to internal performance, leadership cadence, and company-wide rituals.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, is comfortable operating with senior leaders, and is motivated by building high-performing organisations.

  • Partner with leaders and the People team on performance outcomes, including input into compensation and incentive schemes
  • Play a central role in shaping a high-performance culture through the performance cycle

Member of the CEO Office

  • Support the CEO on top priorities, particularly internal performance, leadership cadence, and execution discipline
  • Help orchestrate key company rituals and leadership moments
  • Act as a trusted, independent operator able to challenge constructively when needed

What we think you’ll need

  • Experience in business performance, strategy, operations, or Chief of Staff–type role
  • A strong operator mindset driven by impact, able to build systems and make things happen
  • Highly data-driven, with the ability to turn insight into action
  • A curious generalist who learns fast and joins dots across the organisation
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to operate independently with senior executives and handle challenging conversations
  • Sound judgement - knowing when to go deep, when to move fast, and when to push for a decision
