Business Owner Retail Media (m|w|d)

With more than 80 million monthly users, a unique merchant base and a strong footprint in the European e-commerce ecosystem, idealo holds significant untapped potential in Retail Media. 

As the Business Owner Retail Media, you will build and scale a fully integrated Retail Media business across all key areas: Onsite Advertising, Offsite Advertising and Retail Media Sales (including Agency and Brand Sales). You will define the strategy, shape the product portfolio,x build the organization and lay the technological and data foundations for sustainable growth. 

About your new role  

• Develop and own the end-to-end strategy for Onsite, Offsite and Retail Media Sales, including growth roadmap and prioritization  

• Build a scalable Retail Media organization and lead the respective functional teams  

• Own the product and portfolio strategy, including onsite & offsite ad inventory, data products, measurement capabilities and the supporting tech infrastructure 

• Further develop the Retail Media Sales setup, including agency & brand sales, pricing frameworks and go-to-market approach 

• Take full financial ownership (P&L), including forecasting, budgeting and profitability management 

• Represent idealo in the market and build a strong network with technology partners, merchants, agencies and other key ecosystem players 

Requirements

Skills & Requirements  

• Several years of senior leadership experience (Senior Director/VP level) in Retail Media, AdTech, platform businesses or comparable data-driven commercial environments 

• Deep understanding of the Retail Media value chain (Onsite, Offsite & Sales) and its technological and data foundations 

• Experience working in a platform-based, multi-retailer environment, integrating inventory, data and measurement across multiple merchants 

• Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational execution skills 

• Experience building and leading multi-level teams and developing leaders 

• Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management and executive presence
