Business Manager - Business Management & Strategy Division

TLDR

Provide financial analytics and cost modeling to support data-driven decisions in Banking Operations, enhancing service operations strategy and profitability.

Provide expert financial analytics and cost modelling to enable data-driven decisions in Banking Operations. This role is responsible for delivering accurate cost analysis, building robust business cases, and forecasting revenues for new services and clients. Acting as a strategic partner, you will support the definition and evolution of service operations strategy by aligning financial insights with business objectives, ensuring profitability, and optimizing resource allocation.

Your key tasks

  • Financial Analytics
    • Perform in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making on new services, pricing strategies, and operational improvements
    • Provide insights on profitability, cost drivers, and margin optimization
  • Cost Analysis
    • Calculate and review cost structures for new services, factoring in resource models, infrastructure, and third-party components
    • Maintain a library of cost benchmarks and update models based on actuals
  • Service Operations Strategy Support
    • Contribute financial perspectives to define and refine BO service operations strategy
    • Partner with leadership to align cost models and pricing with strategic objectives
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • 8 years experience in financial modeling, business case preparation, or pre-sales support in banking or IT services
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Familiarity with cost allocation principles and service pricing
  • Demonstrated expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Excellent communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Fluent in English

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • Experience in banking operations outsourcing or managed services
  • Knowledge of Avaloq products or similar core banking platforms
  • Skills in Power BI or other visualization tools for presenting business cases
  • Exposure to contract negotiation and commercial terms
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced pre-sales environment
  • Japanese, Italian or German
