Role Overview:
We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) professional to design, build, and maintain high‑quality dashboards and analytical datasets for a major client project. The role focuses on translating business requirements into intuitive, accurate, and visually engaging analytics using Power BI and/or Tableau, supported by strong data modelling, governance, and delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities:
BI Development & Delivery
Gather and refine requirements; translate them into impactful dashboards, reports, and self‑service assets.
Build structured semantic models (Power BI) and curated datasets (Tableau) for performance and usability.
Develop visualisations that follow accessibility, usability, and design best practices.
Implement row‑level security, refresh schedules, and workspace/project standards.
Data Modelling & Engineering
Create analytical data models (e.g., star/snowflake) and reusable datasets.
Build measures and calculations (e.g., DAX for Power BI, LOD expressions for Tableau).
Optimise BI assets for performance, consistency, and accuracy.
Quality, Governance & Documentation
Apply validation and QA processes for accuracy and trust.
Maintain documentation (data lineage, definitions, usage guidance).
Support governance activities including versioning, certification, and lifecycle management.
Stakeholder Engagement & Adoption
Run demos, gather feedback, and drive user adoption through training and enablement.
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and manage release cycles.
Champion self‑service analytics, promoting governed datasets and user empowerment.
Required Skills & Experience:
Hands‑on experience developing BI solutions using Power BI and/or Tableau.
Strong understanding of data modelling, including star schema and dimension modelling.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational or cloud data sources (SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Ability to translate business needs into clear, insightful dashboards and datasets.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

This is a fixed-term position located in London. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
