TLDR

Transform complex data into actionable intelligence driving Truevo’s commercial success through strategic insights and advanced analytical solutions.

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Business Analyst Team Leader, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for transforming complex data into the strategic engine that drives Truevo’s commercial and operational success. Operating within a regulated payments environment, you will translate vast transactional datasets into actionable intelligence and successfully executed business outcomes.

The culture of this role is rooted in data-driven impact and proactive insight. You are not just a generator of reports, but a driver of clarity and a manager of data integrity. You will ensure that leadership decisions are never delayed due to a lack of visibility, fragmented data, or unclear metrics. This is a high visibility, hands on role requiring a high degree of analytical rigor, judgment, and persistence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Insight & Delivery

  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced analytical solutions across commercial, operational, and regulatory workstreams.
  • KPI Definition & Scoping: Define and own key business KPIs (e.g. transaction volumes, approval rates, merchant profitability) in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Executive Visibility: Design and optimize high-impact dashboards (Amazon QuickSight / Power BI) that provide the "source of truth" for key managers and executive team.

Analytical Momentum & Execution

  • Execution Discipline: Manage and prioritize multiple analytical projects, ensuring data outputs are delivered on schedule and align with the pace of the business.
  • Data Integrity & Mitigation: Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and "blockers" early. Develop robust governance and mitigation strategies to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Constructive Persistence: Actively engage with data owners to ensure integrity across systems, escalating data gaps with clear context and proposed technical solutions.

Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

  • Senior Collaboration: Partner directly with Commercial, Finance, Risk, and Product leads to translate complex business challenges into structured analytical frameworks.
  • Strategic Advisory: Suggest data led strategies to project owners and challenge existing assumptions or business "gut feelings" through evidence based analysis.
  • Influence: Lead through influence to ensure data best practices are adopted across the organization.

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Business Analysis Collaboration: Work closely within the BA function to ensure requirements are supported by data and to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical data architecture.
  • Subject Matter Fluency: Engage confidently with technical developers, financial experts, and regulatory leads at a practical, data centric level.

Continuous Improvement

  • The Data Landscape: Champion BI best practices and introduce new mechanisms, data models, and reporting frameworks to improve scalability and visibility across Truevo.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Industry Expertise: 3–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics, ideally within a Payments, Acquiring, or Financial Services organization.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced SQL skills (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proven experience navigating large, complex transactional datasets.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient level experience with BI visualization tools (Amazon QuickSight preferred, Power BI, or Tableau) and familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related quantitative field.

Skills & Attributes

  • Natural Leadership: Ability to influence decision making and drive data adoption across cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Outstanding ability to translate "data speak" into clear, concise, and persuasive insights for senior non technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive Mindset: Self motivated and proactive, with the creativity to find innovative analytical solutions to complex business hurdles.
  • Execution Focus: A high level of attention to detail and a hands on approach to ensuring data accuracy and project completion.
  • Adaptability: Eagerness to master new technologies and evolve analytical methods as the FinTech landscape changes.
