Business Insights Technician

You will build and maintain reporting, models, and dashboards that provide visibility into supply chain performance while partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve problems, and implement meaningful change. You’ll leverage analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to proactively monitor performance, uncover gaps in data capture, and recommend actions that improve throughput, compliance, and cost. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of supply chain concepts, the ability to connect operational and financial data, and the foresight to anticipate how changes inside and outside the business impact overall performance. This position plays a key role in enabling leaders to make informed, timely decisions that improve safety, service, and efficiency while supporting Spreetail’s long-term growth. How you will achieve success:

Provide reporting, modeling, and dashboards for the Spreetail Supply Chain network; focused on cost, throughput, operational compliance, and process improvement. 

Assist Supply Chain partners in uncovering additional data that will increase the effectiveness of their teams and drive increased quality and performance. 

Maintain dashboards for Spreetail Supply Chain, utilizing AI and other tools to automate where available.  

Provide reporting, modeling, and dashboards that paint a clear picture of overall Supply Chain performance. 

Review Supply Chain and partner performance to ensure operational compliance and cost efficiency. Aid in implementation of changes to take advantage of opportunities in performance and cost. 

Understand other business performance impacts on Supply Chain performance and cost; ensure that outside processes that may impact Supply Chain performance are accounted for in analysis and improved to ensure efficiency.   

Ongoing analysis of Supply Chain spend; determine opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.   

Understand Supply Chain concepts and Lean Six Sigma methodologies: work with internal and external partners to optimize Supply Chain performance 

Partner with stakeholders as needed to drive change in practice, process or inputs to drive efficiency in the network.   

Identify gaps in data capture; ensure that we have the data needed to make the best decisions.   

Proactively review the network for future impacts; understand how those changes will impact our Supply Chain. Make necessary changes to quickly react to any changes. 

What experiences will help you in this role:

Required: 

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or Equivalent Experience.  

3+ years of analytic experience, preferably in transportation, warehousing, or e-commerce.  

You have robust skills and experience with analyzing and presenting data in Excel, SQL and PowerBI. 

You are proficient in using AI and other tools to automate processes where applicable. 

You are proficient in building models and business cases with business partners.  

You are proficient in budgeting, forecasting and analyzing financials results or willing to learn the financial side of things quickly.  

Experience with creating or improving transportation/warehouse management systems and processes is a plus.
