Your team’s dynamic:
The Information Architecture, Intelligence & Analytics, or IAIA for short, is part of the broader Genetec Offerings & Transformation department that is tasked with managing some of the major lT transformation projects within our organization. IAIA is responsible for designing and managing data architecture and warehousing solutions, analyzing and interpreting data for insights, and developing BI solutions—including dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data models—to transform raw data into actionable intelligence for strategic and operational decision-making.
The goal of the Business Information Architect is to define the overall structure, standards, and integration of data systems to ensure that data is organized, accessible, and aligned with business needs.

Genetec is looking for an experienced Information Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. In this critical role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our business objectives and technology capabilities. They will be tasked with gathering and documenting business Information requirements from stakeholders, translating these into technical specifications, and liaising with the Digital Information department to ensure alignment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both business analysis and information analysis, with a strong ability to dissect complex data, recognize trends, and communicate impactful insights in a clear and concise manner. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of both business needs and IT capabilities are essential for this position. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to influence strategy and growth in our fast-paced, innovative company.
The role is a vital part of the IAIA team, bridging the gap between concept and execution.
Your day at a glance:
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to deeply understand the organization's data requirements, decision-making processes, and key metrics
- Translate business information needs into technical specifications and work with the Business Architect, Data Analyst and BI team to ensure they understand and can meet these requirements
- Design how information should be structured, captured, accessed and flow across various systems (CRM, ERP, marketing, operations, etc.) to support reporting and analytics
- Work closely with BI developers, data analysts, data engineers, and business units to ensure technical design meets business goals
- Establish policies for data quality, security, privacy, and lifecycle management; maintain metadata and data catalogs
- Establish and enforce naming conventions, modeling standards, and architectural documentation practices
- Manage and enhance the company's data and information security protocols to ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Assist in driving the design and enhancement of our Business Intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods
- Act as a liaison between the business units and Digital Information department, ensuring that solutions meet business needs
- Develop communication packages in conjunction with Transformation team. Documents may include Playbooks, Transition Guides, FAQs, etc.
- Performs other duties as directed by leadership
- Can drive a cross functional group of business functions towards a common goal

What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelors in business, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- TOGAF Certificate (Enterprise Architecture)
- Proven experience as Information Analyst, Data Architect or similar role.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong grasp of business processes and KPIs across departments (sales, marketing, finance, operations, etc.)
- Ability to translate business questions into structured data models and flows.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a simple, understandable way.
