About the role:

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be at the front line of Financeit’s growth story, connecting with new merchants and showing them how our platform can help their business thrive. You’ll hunt for new opportunities, build strong relationships, and turn leads into excited new partners. Working closely with our internal teams and external partners, you’ll keep the pipeline flowing and help bring more great merchants into Financeits' network.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and manage lead lists, including sourcing new leads through external partners.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective merchants and convert qualified leads into active merchant applications.
  • Identify and pursue potential new accounts while following up on inbound inquiries and warm leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective merchant partners.
  • Evaluate new merchant opportunities in the Canadian market, reviewing business information and ownership details in line with Financeit’s onboarding guidelines.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming merchant inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed notes for all merchant accounts within the CRM.
  • Ensure all merchant activity complies with Financeit’s approval and risk requirements.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience managing successful B2B sales or service relationships.
  • Proven experience with cold calling and lead outreach.
  • You know your way around a CRM, ideally Salesforce.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in customer service or retail sales is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
