Business Development Representative (BDR) 

Scandit is currently seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Global Sales Team, focusing on South Korea.  Working remotely, you will join a small team already based in South Korea and play a key role in generating new business opportunities by offering Scandit's disruptive barcode scanning software and innovative data capture solutions to enterprise and mid-sized customers.

Your Opportunity: 

  • Generate leads through targeted research, calls and other outbound sales activities, including pre and post Trade Shows 
  • Identify contacts within prospective accounts, mapping them around their organisational structure, their people and existing technology
  • Conduct discussions with senior executives about their business needs
  • Set up meetings and demos for Scandit Sales Managers
  • Effectively maintain our CRM - Salesforce.com with leads, opportunities and accounts, keeping detailed and accurate notes of all sales related activities
  • Maintain close contact with the sales managers by country and/or vertical

Who You Are

  • Sales hungry - energy, enthusiasm and commitment to pick up the telephone and make calls!
  • 1 to 4 years of sales or related experience - cold calling, emailing and connecting with prospects. 
  • Happy to work independently in Korea, as well as within a global Business Development team
  • Strong desire to learn and succeed in tech sales
  • Excited about working in a fast-paced start-up environment and able to quickly adapt to change
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills
  • Native Korean speaker and fluent in English - additional languages are a plus
