Business Development Manager, VC & Startups

To date Finix has raised over $200M, including a $75M Series C led by Acrew Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners and backed by American Express Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Homebrew, Inspired Capital, Visa, and others About Role:   Finix is looking to hire an exceptional business development leader to grow and manage Finix’s strategic partnerships within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators and venture capital firms.   What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Partner with startup  accelerators, incubators, and startup community leaders (ex. YC, Techstars, etc) to embed Finix as the preferred payments solution for their cohorts
  • Identify partnership opportunities with VC Investors and lead all aspects of deal execution
  • Actively hunt for new partnership opportunities within Silicon Valley at events, investor conferences, and networking forums
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with senior executives within our partners’ organizations
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment, juggling priorities of multiple internal and external constituencies
  • Build repeatable engagement programs that drive adoption across VC portfolios, from intro to activation
  • Plan and execute events targeting founders and investors (demo days, conferences, hosted dinners) and own the follow-through
  • Coordinate with marketing on event promotion, content creation, and follow-up campaigns
  • About You:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or similar roles
  • Experience working closely with the leading Silicon Valley companies and venture capital firms at senior levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to speak to different constituencies such as finance, business development, product, engineering, and sales internally and externally.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Deep fluency in the VC ecosystem, you know the key players, how funds work, and where the interesting deals are happening
  • You build partnerships that compound over time, not one-off wins
  • Comfortable evangelizing Finix to founders and investors with enough product depth to be credible

    Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $300,000 OTE + Equity + Benefits

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. Individual pay is determined by work location, job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
