Business Development Manager (Technology Scouting & Ventures)

Play a key role in technology scouting for Teltonika, identifying high-potential products and companies for acquisition and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to strengthen our headquarters team in Vilnius. This role is strongly focused on identifying, evaluating, and securing new technologies and businesses that can be acquired and developed within Teltonika Group.
You will play a key role in technology scouting and external innovation search, with the main objective to find high‑potential products, solutions, or companies that Teltonika can acquire and scale. This role is less about managing existing business and more about actively searching for new technological opportunities in the market and turning them into viable business directions.
The headquarters, run by the parent company Teltonika IoT Group, coordinates the activities of Lithuanian high‑tech companies operating under the Teltonika brand as well as all representative offices worldwide. The headquarters plays a key role in shaping strategic direction, launching new ventures, and enabling long‑term group growth.

In this role, you will:
• Continuously search for new technologies, products, and companies that could be relevant for Teltonika Group.
• Identify and evaluate acquisition targets, including startups, scale‑ups, and established businesses.
• Analyze technology trends, markets, and competitors to spot emerging opportunities early.
• Build a strong pipeline of potential acquisition or partnership opportunities.
• Perform initial business and technology assessments to determine commercial potential and strategic fit.
• Participate in due diligence processes, supporting decision‑making on acquisitions.
• Contribute to the execution of acquisitions and initial integration of acquired businesses.
• Help transform identified technologies into scalable business opportunities within Teltonika.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to evaluate technical feasibility and integration possibilities.
• Focus on key strategic areas.
• Act as a link between external innovation (market) and internal capabilities (engineering & manufacturing).
• Represent Teltonika in communication with startups, technology companies, and potential partners globally.
What we expect of you:
• Proven experience in business development, technology scouting, corporate development, venture building, or M&A‑related roles.
• Strong interest and understanding of technologies, products, and innovation ecosystems.
• Ability to assess both business and technical potential of products or companies.
• Experience analyzing markets and identifying high‑potential opportunities for investment or acquisition.
• Strategic thinking with a strong bias towards action and execution.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, driving opportunities from identification to execution.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, etc.).
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Salary:
We appreciate everyone’s efforts and experience, therefore we offer an attractive salary matching your skillset and expertise. The salary for this position ranges from 50 EUR/h up to 70 EUR/h (8000 EUR – 11,200 EUR pre‑tax), depending on your experience and qualifications.
In the employment agreement, a fixed (tariff) hourly gross salary rate is specified and defined.
