Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid)
Reports To: VP of Sales and Marketing
Employment Type: Full-Time / Commission Eligible
At Linguava, we believe healthcare is a universal right. We are passionate about giving patients a "seat at the table" in their own care, regardless of the language they speak or sign. We aren't just providing interpretation; we are bridging the gap between life-saving medical expertise and the humans who need it most.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) who is energized by the "hunt" but driven by the "why."
As our BDM, you won't just be selling services; you’ll be a consultant to major hospital systems and health insurance payers. You will position our sophisticated hybrid offering—on-demand interpretation (On-Site, VRI, OPI) and our proprietary SaaS management platform—as the engine that drives their language access operations.
People First: You’ll navigate complex stakeholder maps (C-suite, IT, DEI) with empathy and respect, recognizing that behind every contract is a community of patients and providers.
Doing the Right Thing: You’ll manage high-value RFPs and negotiations with total transparency and integrity, building a foundation of trust that lasts.
Pursuit of Progress: You’ll be at the forefront of the industry, demonstrating the value of AI-enhanced tools and our platform’s analytics to clinical leaders.
Above & Beyond Service: You don’t just close a deal and disappear. You lead the onboarding to ensure our new partners feel "wowed" from day one.
Have Each Other’s Back: You’ll work in lockstep with our "Farmer" (Account Management) team to ensure a seamless handoff, sharing the load to ensure collective success.
Drive Growth: Identify and close new "logos" within Hospitals, IDNs, and Payer verticals, expanding our footprint nationally from our Portland roots.
Consultative Sales: Move prospects through discovery to technical platform demos and final execution.
Strategic Navigation: Lead complex, 12-month sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.
Market Intelligence: Monitor trends and gather competitive intel to help our executive team stay ahead of the curve.
Data Integrity: Maintain a rigorous, forecast-ready pipeline within HubSpot.
The Local Navigator: You enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid schedule—thriving in your home office but valuing the connection and collaboration of our Portland, OR headquarters.
The Tech-Fluent Storyteller: You can take a service (interpreting) and a software (SaaS) and weave them into a single, cohesive ROI story for a CFO.
The Problem Solver: You don't just sell a product; you solve the logistical nightmare of language access in clinical settings.
Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience (at least 2 years specifically selling into Healthcare/Hospitals/Insurance).
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the language services industry (LSP) is highly preferred.
CRM Savvy: Proven experience using HubSpot (or similar) to manage multi-stakeholder cycles.
Travel: Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as we grow.
We strive to be the go-to company where linguists take pride in their profession and employees are excited to show up. If you want to work for a premier choice in healthcare where your work has a direct impact on health equity, we want to hear from you.
