Business Development Manager

Job Description:

  • Collect and provide marketing intelligence for current and future work
  • Understand each client’s overall portfolio of projects
  • Plan and execute Client face-to-face meetings
  • Coordinate and attend appropriate exhibitions and conferences
  • Track our clients’ prospects and specific requirements
  • Developing and implementing sales and marketing plans and strategies
  • Liaison on sales, marketing and business development matters within DOF Subsea Atlantic and other DOF Subsea companies
  • Ensuring that Sales and Marketing capitalize on lessons learned and are executed in accordance with best practices, seeking to mitigate risks, consistently promoting safety and integrity
  • Maintain and update the CRM database as part of a regular working routine to ensure relevant information is shared in the BA team.
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation and execution to complete company objectives and KPI’s within the department
  • Liaise with Regional Tendering Manager to ensure efficient and prompt response to pre-qualification / invitations to tender from customers
  • Track and communicate with our client’s management team, decision makers and contacts
  • Co-ordinate all business contacts and actions with each client to develop a common, consistent approach:

Pre-prospects – Establish regular contact with the client, tracking potential prospects and gathering of market information. Responsible for ensuring that all client information is up to date including information at local level.

Prospects – Primary responsibility to ensure that DOF are on the Invitation to tender (ITT) list for targeted prospects and that a capture plan is in place before we receive the tender. Analyse ITT`s and propose winning strategies, supporting bid/no-bid`s. Hand-over ITT`s to allocated Proposal/Commercial Lead

Proposals – Responsible for supporting the allocated Proposal/Commercial Lead with client and market information, intelligence and feedback during the tender process. Assist with the development of competitors’ analysis during the tender review process. Once the tender is submitted and throughout the post submission clarification and negotiation stage, provide support to the nominated Proposals Leader in order to ensure that the work is awarded to DOF Subsea.

Develop or participate in business cases, detailing initiatives for business growth.

Participate in multi discipline R&D and innovation teams, developing new technologies, solutions and services.

Requirements

  • Familiar with subsea operations and an adequate understanding of subsea segments covering client requirements, client expectations, associated technology and solutions
  • Experience from the Oil and Gas / Renewables / offshore sector
  • Experience from commercial/tendering environment
  • Established network within DOF’s service lines.
  • An excellent door opener, making sure that DOF is positioned on relevant opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to resolving problems with a pleasant and articulate manner
  • Capable of discussing issues and topics of importance at Senior Management Level
  • Reliable self- starter able to work with minimum supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Microsoft CRM
  • Good knowledge about search engines, web analytics and business research tools
  • Familiarity with CRM programs
  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Economics/Finance, Marketing or related field
