About the Job:

We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our expanding team. In this role, you will focus on driving new business by engaging with industry contacts and decision-makers through outbound prospecting. Collaborating closely with Regional Sales Managers, you'll be instrumental in building new business by documenting key information in SFDC, prioritizing outreach efforts, and generating qualified sales opportunities, all contributing to the ongoing growth.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience, be outgoing, well-spoken, tech-savvy, and be a strategic seller. The ability to understand and explain technical information in simple terms is required. The ability to identify, communicate, and establish new business for Cloudian is a must. The candidate will preferably have a storage background and will be well-versed in using Salesforce and other sales tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, industry contacts, and decision-makers within target markets, cold calling, personalized emails, video messaging, social media strategies, and other creative prospecting methods to support RSM’s pipeline.
  • Partner closely with RSM to identify and source new pipeline opportunities that lead to closed revenue and help achieve quota targets.
  • Assess leads based on their needs, budget, and timeline to determine suitability.
  • Manage a high volume of accounts, prioritizing them strategically to optimize your time and efforts. Assist current customers with maximizing upsell opportunities, such as multi-year, extended maintenance, cross-sell, etc.
  • Schedule follow-up meetings, product demos, and surveys with qualified leads. Ensure timely follow-ups and consistent engagement with prospects.
  • Gain an understanding of various buyer personas and ideal customer profiles. Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and potential opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of all relevant information, including contact details, company profiles, and interactions, in our CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and selling techniques.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Familiarity with Pipeline and Forecasting methodology.
  • Experience in lead generation, sales development, or customer-facing roles.
  • New Business prospecting & recruitment.
  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of software, SaaS, or technology solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity of different CRM tools and lead management tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
