What you will bring to Rayn as a Business Development Intern 

We are looking for a Business development Intern to support Rayn’s Business and Strategy team in research, proposal development, opportunity analysis, stakeholder mapping, and content creation.The intern will work on live business development opportunities and contribute to research, writing, analysis, and coordination activities. 

As a Business Development Intern, you will support the Business team in the following areas:

• Identify and research new business opportunities across public health, climate, sustainability, technology, and development sector domains.
• Track donor priorities, government programs, RFPs, EOIs, grants, and funding opportunities.
• Conduct research on development sector trends, competitor activities, and emerging areas of demand.
• Support market scans and opportunity briefs to help the team assess whether Rayn should pursue specific opportunities.
• Assist in drafting and editing presentation, proposals, concept notes, expressions of interest, capability statements, and pitch materials.
• Help structure proposal content in line with donor, government, or client requirements.
• Support the collection of technical inputs from internal teams for proposal development.
• Review RFPs and TORs to extract key requirements, eligibility criteria, deliverables, timelines, and evaluation criteria.
• Help ensure that submissions are clear, complete, well-structured, and aligned with client requirements.
• Prepare concise research summaries, sector notes, and briefing documents.
• Use AI tools responsibly to support research, content development, summarization, analysis, and presentation preparation.
• Explore how generative AI tools can improve business development workflows, proposal writing, research synthesis, and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

• Recent graduate in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, International Relations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in cutting edge AI enabled solutions for public health, technology, climate resilience, sustainability, and social impact.
• Prior exposure to research, writing, public health, development sector projects, consulting, or proposal work will be considered a plus.
