Key Responsibilities

  • Source, cultivate, and close new client relationships in the employee benefits and group insurance space
  • Drive revenue growth through proactive business development activities and new account acquisition
  • Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans to expand market presence in New Jersey and the broader Tri-State region
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach
  • Present tailored benefits solutions to prospective clients, demonstrating value and competitive differentiation
  • Collaborate with internal underwriting and client service teams to ensure seamless transitions from prospect to client
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting employee benefits

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active insurance license (required)
  • 2–5 years of experience in employee benefits or commercial insurance sales
  • Proven track record of new business development and client acquisition
  • Strong understanding of group insurance products and employee benefits solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, overcome objections, and close sales

Benefits

Compensation: Base salary of $100,000–$130,000 plus commission structure of 20–50%, commensurate with experience and production capabilities. Total compensation potential is performance-based and uncapped.

Hybrid Work Arrangement: Primary office location in Fair Lawn, with In-office presence expected 3–4 times per week.
