Role Overview

The Business Development Associate will drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and promoting Mellon's portfolio of software, hardware, and technology-driven services.
This role requires a sales professional who can combine commercial acumen with technological understanding, working closely with local and regional technical teams to deliver high-impact solutions for enterprise clients in banking, telecom, utilities, and related sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within target sectors (Banking, Telecom, Utilities, Enterprise).
  • Maintain and expand the company’s customer portfolio, driving both new deals and growth within existing accounts.
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progression from prospecting to closing.
  • Take ownership of the territory sales plan, sales strategy, and defined revenue targets.
  • Work with local and regional resources to present the most relevant software and hardware solutions to clients.
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technology-driven proposals to decision makers and key stakeholders.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment between customer needs and Mellon's capabilities.
  • Prepare and customize commercial proposals, RFP responses, and solution presentations.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging opportunities and evolving customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate account information, opportunities, and reporting in CRM/ERP systems, demonstrating operational and sales excellence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, digital transformation priorities, and new technologies relevant to the Bulgarian market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in Hi-Tech, Payments, Software Solutions, or related technology-driven sectors.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software, digital solutions, and technology adoption in banking and telecom environments.
  • Proven ability to analyze business needs and articulate how Mellon's solutions create business value.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Highly driven, results-oriented, able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
