As a Business Development Advisor, you will lead the company’s growth initiatives by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing clients. The role is focused on driving sustainable growth and diversification across commodities and geographies, positioning the company for long-term success. Through a strong market presence and holistic relationship-building, you will play a key role in advancing the company’s strategic growth objectives.  The successful candidate will work closely with our operations team to ensure delivery of specialized solutions for clients and prospective clients.

 

It is preferred that the Business Development Advisor be based in Vancouver, Kamloops, Calgary, Saskatoon, or Sudbury. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day with required flexibility to suit the requirement of the work. Remote work will be considered.

Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change based on business needs:

Strategic:

•            Provide input into and execution of the strategic goals for the organization related to Business Development and Account Management.

•            Drive business development initiatives - Identify and assess new markets or commodities in alignment with strategic objectives.

•            Act as a strategic advisor to internal teams by aligning client needs with organizational capabilities.

•            Provide input and expertise to support company-wide goals and initiatives.

 

Business Development:

•            Responsible for lead generation and proposal development.

•            Build, maintain, and strengthen trust-based client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.

•            Build, maintain, and strengthen trust-based partnerships.

•            Monitor market trends and emerging opportunities.

•            Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events.

•            Identify client needs and potential projects to provide tailored solutions and value-added services.

Requirements

  • Education in Business, Engineering, or Project Management
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the mining, energy, consulting, or heavy industrial sectors
  • Strong technical background with the ability to provide multi discipline solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with business development, client relationship management, and proposal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop tactics to meet broadly defined strategic goals
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Must be willing to travel throughout Canada and the United States to support business development and project initiatives
