Business Data Analyst / Data Translator

TLDR

Support data initiatives in the banking sector by translating business needs into data requirements and specifications while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

We are hiring a Business Data Analyst (Business Analyst in Data domain)to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams on data initiatives (Data platform / DWH / integration).
This role requires strong BA capability plus solid data knowledge (SQL + DWH concepts). Experience in banking projects is a big advantage.


Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and clarify scope with business & technical stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into data requirements and specifications:
  • Mapping rules, transformation logic
  • Source-to-target mapping, matrices, process flows
  • Prepare documentation and presentations for both:
  • Business audiences and technical teams (Vietnamese & English)
  • Coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Support deliverables related to:
  • Data Warehouse / DataMart requirements
  • Integration/data mapping documentation
  • Data quality requirements (if needed)


Requirements

BA Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a BA (IT-BA, Data Analyst, BA in data domain
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong requirement elicitation & specification skill
  • Excellent presentation & documentation skills (diagrams, matrix…) in English & Vietnamese
  • Data Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent SQL (extract/query data from DB)
  • Experience with enterprise DB servers: SQL Server / Oracle / IBM DB2
  • Good understanding of cloud technology, especially AWS stack:
  • S3, Glue, Athena
  • Knowledge of Databricks is a plus
  • Strong understanding of Data platform / DWH concepts:
  • Dimensional Modelling, ETL, Staging, DataMart, SCD, CDC
  • Python is a plus


Banking Domain Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of banking: products, channels, systems
  • Strong understanding of banking data from system point of view is a plus
  • Experience in banking projects is a big plus


Nice-to-have

  • English communication (able to work smoothly with foreign stakeholders)
  • Integration project experience (Data Mapping, Data Modelling)
  • International project exposure
